Returning Hellgate player. I was gathered in Stonehenge with a big group. Saying good byes. Thanking everyone. Taking screen shots. The feeling of community was overwhelming. As time neared midnight, we watched as one by one our friends and family disappeared. Leaving with memories. But I digress.
What does Increases use rate mean? Is it a good thing. I’m trying to wrap my head around what “use” means. Initially I thought it meant how fast I was with my weapon. Then I wondered where does “rate” fit in?
I know this is a newb question. But the more I run across it, thinking it means something so I better learn. Sorry I took so long .
Always better to ask than not, I’d say. And it’s understandable to have things feel unclear here and there.
Use rate refers to skill cooldowns, essentially, so such affixes are typically useful for skills with larger cooldowns and virtually useless for spam skills. To ensure you’re getting value out of such affixes you’d need to make sure that 1) you’re using skills that they affect (which the skill group labels on skills will inform you about), 2) the skills you’re using have cooldowns, and 3) your build can support the increased skill use rate power-wise (which is typically rather easy with power injectors).
Hope this helps!
