I’ve been trying to farm heart of talox for a while, got 4 Warrior skill blocker and 1 Guardian skill blocker, not sure what to make of this. Just bad luck?
From what I’m seeing so far (without being extensive about it yet) they all seem to have the same chances. Tables that include it are just set up to drop or not, and to pick among set possible tokens if they do drop (without weighing contents or specifying different chances per token). While I didn’t exhaust all tables, the Abyss subtable and the typical boss subtables for tokens (one of which I assume is where you’re farming) follow this structure.
All I can assume here is that you may be farming with a Templar, in which case the game may weigh drops in your faction’s favor, or that you’ve just been unlucky so far.
Hi Bryan thanks, I’m farming Shulgoth for HoT, solo summoner.
Yeah, Shulgoth pulls from the common “tier 1” token boss subtable which shouldn’t weigh drops at all. The only other explanation for notable drop rate disparities I can think of now would be item-side rarity settings, but a) so far I’m not seeing any and b) if ones exist they shouldn’t matter, since the subtable references them directly (ie “pick 1 among these”) and doesn’t spawn them (where rarity settings should kick in).
But I’ve heard of that particular token seeming rarer than others before, so it’s worth a raised eyebrow. I’ll look around more when I have some time, and I’ll share any findings here.
