i got more XP than requested but im still rank 24, not 25
hellow?can anyone help?
Hey there!
Could you take a screenshot and post/link it here, so that others can have a proper look?
Personally I have ever heard or encountered this before, so any further info is appreciated.
Here’s some questions for you:
- Can you still gain exp? (read: does this issue still persist? As in you cannot gain any further ranks)
- In which area or map did you encounter this bug?
- What class are/were you playing?
- Is it hc or sc?
- Dx9 or Dx10?
Maybe your answer to these can help the devs to get a clearer picture on what is happening there, so please provide them with all the info that you can get/reconstruct.
~cheers!
sure,here is the ss.
- still gainning exp
2,not sure which map, cause ive been remain rank 24 for long. this is same at all the map. - im a summoner
4 non hc
5.dx 10
Hey again!
Thanks for the screenshot and a few answers. Now, in return, here is some more questions for you.
- Is this the only character this happens to you?
- Could you please (re-)check if there is any change in the amount(!) of exp that your character has, if you kill mobs? (read: do the numbers actually change, if you kill mobs?)
- Did you try and kill a few mobs with this character on dx9? (this might sound odd/stupid, but you want to rule out every possible thing that might be causing it)
Now, the next part is a little more in depth. So without further ado, here’s to two more questions for starters:
- How far into the storyline is this character? As in:
Which act? Did you do the tutorial questline yet? Did you finish the Brokers quests? - Is it on normal or nightmare difficulty?
- Did you get a taxi at some point since the characters has been created?
edit: fixed a typo
hi.
- Is this the only character this happens to you?
im not sure cz its the first char im about to reach rank 25, the next is a MM with rank 24 - Could you please (re-)check if there is any change in the amount(!) of exp that your character has, if you kill mobs? (read: do the numbers actually change, if you kill mobs?)
yeah, i checked, the exp indeed changed, pls refer to the most recent ss
- Did you try and kill a few mobs with this character on dx9? (this might sound odd/stupid, but you want to rule out every possible thing that might be causing it)
Tryed but still the same
- How far into the storyline is this character? As in:
Which act? Did you do the tutorial questline yet? Did you finish the Brokers quests?
i finished the 4 chapter and stopped at To the Hellgate at 5. as for Brokers quests, no, its a painful quest im not really wanna do .
- Is it on normal or nightmare difficulty?
nightmare difficulty for sure
- Did you get a taxd at some point since the characters has been created?
im not getting what u mean for this question.
Thanks for your reply again with more details on this issue.
As for the last point … this must have been a typo on my end. (I corrected it already in my earlier post) It should mean the following:
Did this character of yours, since its creation, get taxi’d by others to a certain station? Or just in general.
Taxi-ing can lead to serious issues and fuck up characters and quest progression in a bunch of ways. I don’t know (yet) if this could have played a part on leveling and receiving exp itself here.
Another question on the broker questline:
Did you do it at all? e.g. normal difficulty only, as nightmare gets skipped sometimes
*Did this character of yours, since its creation, get taxi’d by others to a certain station? Or just in general.

im not sure about it, cz my MM indeed got taxi’d ,summoner i cant remember whether i did it or not.
*Did you do it at all? e.g. normal difficulty only, as nightmare gets skipped sometimes
normal difficulty only, needed the backpack after all.
I’m afraid we don’t quite know yet why this happens, but it’s interesting that it seems to be commonly happening in that early/mid 20s range…
I’ll try to look into this again when there’s time, see if something can be found.
ok.sure. thxs for ur efforts
